POSITION: HR Officer
ABOUT THE JOB
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Officer to support the delivery of human resources services across the employee lifecycle. The successful candidate will provide operational HR support, ensure compliance with labour legislation and company policies, and contribute to the effective implementation of people initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
* Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, and employee induction processes.
* Maintain accurate employee records and HR information systems.
* Support performance management, training, and employee development initiatives.
* Administer employee benefits, leave, and HR documentation.
* Ensure compliance with labour legislation, company policies, and HR procedures.
* Assist in employee relations matters, including disciplinary and grievance processes.
* Prepare HR reports, statistics, and management information.
* Coordinate employee engagement and wellness initiatives.
* Support payroll by ensuring accurate and timely submission of employee data.
* Participate in policy implementation and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Provide HR advice and support to employees and line managers.
* Maintain confidentiality of employee information at all times.
Qualifications and Experience
ABOUT YOU
* Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
* IPMZ qualification or membership is an added advantage.
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a generalist HR role.
* Sound knowledge of Zimbabwean labour legislation and HR best practices.
* Experience using HR Information Systems.
* Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
