JOB VACANCY: SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER
The Role
The Supply Chain Manager will oversee the end-to-end value chain, ensuring that the plant is consistently supplied with critical technical components and consumables while managing the efficient movement of goods. You will be responsible for streamlining international sourcing strategies and optimizing the synergy between the procurement and logistics departments.
Key Responsibilities
• Drive the end-to-end integration of procurement and logistics functions to eliminate silos, streamline workflows, and ensure the seamless flow of materials
• Develop and execute sophisticated international sourcing strategies that mitigate risks therefore ensuring supply continuity for critical plant operations in volatile market conditions.
• Enhance corporate liquidity by aggressively managing inventory levels and negotiating favourable commercial terms and credit facilities with key global and local partners.
• Lead the modernization of supply chain operations through ERP optimization and automated cycles, ensuring 100% transparency, data-driven decision-making, and audit-ready compliance.
• Oversee the logistics department, ensuring seamless inbound and outbound movement, customs clearing, and warehouse optimization.
• Build and maintain a robust global supplier database, conducting regular performance audits and contract negotiations.
• Ensure all international trade activities comply with relevant regulations, duties, and import/export requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Engineering.
• An MBA or professional certification (e.g., CIPS) is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience within a heavy manufacturing or industrial environment.
• At least 5 years at a managerial level with experience leading both procurement and logistics teams.
• Proven expertise in technical procurement (engineering spares) and the management of plant consumables.
• Demonstrated success in international sourcing and managing complex cross-border logistics.
