Job Title: Education Programme Facilitator
Location: Chikwizo-Masahwa AP x1,
Purpose of Position
Facilitate the planning, implementation and monitoring of all education activities under the Chikwizo-Masahwa Area Program in the wards of operation according to World Vision standards and guidelines.
Major Responsibilities
• Assess potential and possible intervention areas in EdLs programming.
• Assist communities in identification, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the project activities.
• Delivering project resources to intended beneficiaries.
• Engage relevant stakeholders (Ministry of: Education District Officers, Mudzi Rural District
Council, Gender and Community Development, Women Affairs, Rural Health Center staffs, Ward Councillors, etc. and other NGOs and community structures in the AP) to ensure appropriate programming strategies and plans are developed and refined in line with AP and government policies and visions.
• Raise awareness on child protection and gender issues within the community through daily monitoring and sensitization activities.
• Develop the capacities of the local communities for sustainable development of the EdLs Technical project.
• Day to day monitoring of all Education and Life skills (EdLs) activities
• Provide monthly report on all Education and Life skills activities, feeding into overall M&E processes through data collection, narrative reporting and MSC story collection, including photographs
• Writing semi-annual and annual reports to show impact of interventions and upload in horizon.
• Filing of project resources beneficiaries acknowledgement documents
• Procurement of project resources through system based (Provision) Supply Chain Management
KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE
Degree in Education or equivalent.
• Knowledge of teaching and learning methodologies, educational system, national curricula, etc.
Actual teaching experience will be highly valued.
• Computer literacy in Lotus Notes, Word and Excel packages is desirable.
At least two-year experience in community development work.
Community engagement and facilitation skills
Ability to work with minimal supervision and willing to learn and be led by Supervisors.
Ability to speak English and a local language of posted area
Willingness to stay most of the working times in the posted rural/remote area.
Clean class 4 Driver's license - is a must
