Job Description
The academy is looking for a mature female christian who has a passion to work with teenagers to fill the post of a Matron that has risen in our boarding school located in Bulawayo.
Duties and Responsibilities
1.Looks after the girls staying in the hostel
2. Provides Pastoral care , spiritual guidance and counselling to girls in the hostel
3. Keeps and maintains the following registers:
i) Hostel log book
ii) Register of chronic conditions and or allergies
iii)Sick students
iv) Students authorized visitors
v) Register of students going out
vi) Contact details of parents/guardians
3. Reporting all faults to the Principal or his delegate
4. Ensuring that students go for duties, meals, prayers and studies on time
5. Maintaining order and cleanliness
6. Any other assigned duties
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum qualifications
Degreed, teaching qualification, is an added advantage
Qualification in counselling
First aid qualification
Essential skills
-Skills in both verbal and written communication
-Honesty and integrity
-Stress tolerance
-Ability to meet deadline
-Computer literate
- Interpersonal skills
A minimum of 3 years working experience
Should be a full member of ZAOGA FIF for at least 3 years and aged between 30 and 45years
Must be able to uphold the policies and procedures of the academy and exercise highest of confidentiality
