Job Description
Mother Touch Group of Schools is inviting applications for a Visual Performing Arts (VPA)/Music Teacher to join the Junior School in Harare. The role is ideal for passionate educators who can inspire creativity, musical appreciation, and performance skills in young learners while integrating Christian values into teaching.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Teach VPA and Music to Junior School learners (Grades 1–7).
- Teaching music theory, reading musical notation, and playing classical and contemporary musical instruments.
- Organize and lead choir, marimba, drama, and other performing arts activities.
- Prepare learners for school concerts, competitions, and festivals.
- Integrate Christian values into lessons and performances.
- Develop lesson plans that balance theory, practice, and creativity.
- Collaborate with other teachers to enrich the school’s arts program.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma/Degree in Education with specialization in Music/VPA.
- Strong skills in teaching musical instruments, voice training, and performance arts.
- Ability to organize extracurricular activities and events.
- Good communication, creativity, and classroom management skills.
- Commitment to Christian values and child-centred learning.
