Job Description
The Upholsterer will be responsible for preparing, assembling, and finishing upholstered products by measuring and cutting materials, fitting and securing fabrics, installing decorative elements, and ensuring all items meet high standards of quality.
Duties and Responsibilities
a) Measure, cut and shape foam rubber to fit the dimensions of the frame
b) Stretch, tack and secure fabric to the frame using hand tools and staples
c) Install and attach decorative elements such as buttons, zippers and piping
d) Ensure that all products meet the highest standards of quality
Qualifications and Experience
• National Certificate or an equivalent qualification in Upholstery or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years' practical experience in furniture upholstery.
• Proven ability to cut, sew, fit, and upholster lounge suites, chairs, beds, and other furniture to high-quality standards.
