Job Description

We Are Hiring

Systems Analyst

Job Overview

Our organisation is seeking a skilled, proactive, and hands-on Systems Analyst to oversee, maintain, and optimize our digital infrastructure. Operating within a small, tight-knit team of 10 employees, the incumbent will serve as the primary on-the-ground technical resource for the internal secretariat and council committees.

This is a non-managerial, execution-focused role dedicated to performing day-to-day IT tasks. The analyst will resolve immediate issues independently and coordinate with external experts or service providers for complex repairs and major system developments.

Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Maintain consistent office network connectivity and serve as the main internal technical resource for troubleshooting network disruptions.
2. Act as the primary technical point of contact for external IT vendors for the portal, website, accounting and communications systems to ensure the continuous functionality, security, and accessibility of institutional internet and email services for all staff members.
3. Oversee the routine maintenance, configuration, and troubleshooting of all IT-related gadgets and hardware, including servers, laptops, printers, phones, and desktop equipment.
4. Identify complex hardware or infrastructure failures that cannot be resolved on-site and refer them to external experts for repair.
5. Identify technological gaps, source specifications, and coordinate the ordering and upgrading of ICT equipment for office use through the Procurement Committee.
6. Design, implement, and maintain dedicated databases to manage inventory for available IT assets and other operational tracking needs.
7. Manage and optimize the core functionalities of the organisation’s portal, including online applications, exam registration, and results publication workflows.
8. Oversee the organisation’s website to ensure uninterrupted public information access and secure online payment gateways.
9. Collaborate with the Filing Clerk to assist with the digital transformation and virtual filing of official company documents.
10. Provide data, technical insights, and reporting to relevant Council Committees, particularly the Risk and Audit Committee and the Procurement Committee regarding system vulnerabilities, IT audits, and technology procurement needs.

Qualifications and Experience

Required Qualifications and Experience

* A relevant Higher National Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. A Bachelor’s Degree in a matching field will be considered an added advantage.
* Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience working as a Systems Analyst, IT Specialist, or in a hands-on network/hardware support role.
* Proven experience managing network connectivity, hardware troubleshooting (servers, laptops, printers, phones), and enterprise email client systems.
* Proficiency in database design and management for asset tracking and operations.
* Experience working with portal architectures, website hosting, and online payment integrations.
* Familiarity with accounting software systems (specifically Sage Evolution) and exam management software is highly desirable.
* Strong analytical mindset, excellent troubleshooting capabilities, and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
* Comfortable working in a small-team environment without direct managerial responsibilities.
