JOB ADVERT: STOCK CONTROLLER – FITMENT CENTRE
Location: Marondera, Zimbabwe
We are seeking a reliable, organized, and detail-oriented Stock Controller to join our team at our Fitment Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing stock movement, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring the availability and proper control of stock.
Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
• Receive, inspect, and record all incoming stock, including batteries, tyres, oils, and other automotive accessories.
• Issue stock against authorized invoices, requisitions, and job cards.
• Maintain accurate stock records and ensure all transactions are captured in the system.
• Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile physical stock against system balances.
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages, damaged stock, and slow-moving items.
• Ensure proper storage, handling, and security of stock.
• Investigate stock variances and report discrepancies to management.
• Ensure that all stock movements are properly documented and authorized.
• Assist with stock replenishment and preparation of stock reports.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe storeroom.
Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications and Experience
• A certificate or diploma in Stores Management, Inventory Control, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• At least 3 years’ relevant experience in stock control, preferably in an automotive, retail, or fitment centre environment.
• Experience using inventory management systems; Pastel experience will be an added advantage.
• Good computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Strong numerical, organizational, and record-keeping skills.
• High levels of honesty, accuracy, accountability, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
