Job Description
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill in the post of a Security Guard X2 (Contract and Permanent) (Head Office)
Purpose of the Job: The position exists to physically provide security coverage to the entire premises, to ensure a secure operating environment as well as to avoid pilferages
Duties and Responsibilities
• Identifying security threats as and when needed and to ensure that lawful arrests are made and ensuring that adequate investigations are made.
• Patrolling and carrying out inspections of all areas to ensure that security doors, windows, gates and office doors are closed and locked.
• Controlling the movement of visitors, employees, products, assets and vehicles going in and out of the premises.
• Ensuring that anything received from suppliers has a signed delivery note and ensuring that it physically tally's with that of the supplier.
• Ensuring that booked customers and visitors are attended to timeously such that they accomplish object of visit timeously
• Reporting and recording any incidences of theft, intrusions or any other security violations to ensure for reference purposes.
Qualifications and Experience
• 5 O levels including English and Maths
• Certificate of fitness
• 1-2 years relevant work experience in security
Knowledge and skills requirements
• Good observational and monitoring skills
• Technical knowledge of security skills
• Good communication skills
• Organisational awareness
