FACT Zimbabwe is a Christian based organisation that was instituted in 1987. Since establishment, FACT Zimbabwe has been a leading national HIV and development organisation implementing various projects directly and through partnerships. The organization have since grown to become a broad-based health and development organization whilst maintaining special focus on HIV and sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) and related health issues. It envisions ‘Healthy Communities and a Healthy Nation’ and has a national footprint directly and through partnerships. FACT Zimbabwe is a community health partner in a consortium project led by Union Zimbabwe Trust (UZT) called SUPPORT TB which is funded by USAID. The project Goal is, ‘to improve health outcomes for individuals, health workers, families and communities affected and infected by TB in Zimbabwe’. FACT seeks the services of staff for Mashonaland Province as detailed below;
Position: REGIONAL PROJECT COORDINATOR (SUPPORT TB)
Reports to: National Manager
Department: Health and Wellbeing

Job Purpose:
S/he will be responsible for coordinating implementation of all project activities across project districts including leading the development of annual and quarterly workplans as well as contributing to report writing to the consortium prime and or donor. S/he will ensure that all activities are timely implemented and in line with the approved work plan and budget including monitoring expenditures. The RPC will ensure that project operates on the latest and up to date information on TB and related health issues and oversees project implementation in all 12 districts. S/he utilize routine program data on an ongoing basis to inform program implementation and adaptations. The RPC will work closely with the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MOHCC) and other relevant stakeholders to ensure their buy-in and project impact
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Lead the development of annual and quarterly work plans for the project including
conducting high level project planning and review meetings
• Lead day to day implementation of all project activities across the 12 districts in line with
approved annual and quarterly workplans and budget and ensure project objectives and
deliverables are met in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with the M&E Officer in preparing regular project reports to ensure that the
reports are technically sound and of high quality and meets all USAID reporting
requirements and standards. This includes timely submission of reports to the National
Manager for internal reviews and ensure deadlines are met.
• Adapt the Transport Voucher System to improve access to Health facilities for TB and
DR-TB diagnosis and treatment and care for communities
• Support the establishment and roll-out of integrated TB screening and care algorithms into
routine care for children through OVC and DREAMs programs in collaboration with the
Medical Technical Lead and MEAL Coordinator
• Map, orient and coordinate private service providers and MoHCC for effective TB
management and referrals for an Urban TB model approach
• Guide Field Officers in conducting district USAID OVC partners TWG meetings to
integrate TB within the existing OVC HIV sensitive case management
• Develop and disseminate a treatment start-up nutrition pack for DR-TB patients
• Procure nutrition garden starter pack for MDR-TB and DS-TB households
• Lead development of data collection tools and to equip Field Officers, Field Assistants and
CBV's with necessary skills to utilize these tools.
• Stakeholder engagement at national level including MoHCC, other government
departments, private sector and project partners to ensure project buy-in and support.
Building and maintaining lasting relationships and partnerships.
Education, Desired Skills and Competencies
• A Masters Degree in Public Health, Development Studies, Social Work or any other
relevant social sciences degree
• At least 5 years post graduate working experience in a similar position in NGO sector
preferably on a USAID funded project
• Proven track record of working on TB and or HIV focused community interventions
• Excellent project planning, coordination, budgeting and report writing skills
• Experience with community systems for health and community engagements
• Sound experience with stakeholder engagement and management including MoHCC, other
government authorities at national and sub-national levels.
