Job Description
The Zimbabwe Media Commission is inviting suitably qualified candidates to fill the following positions that have arisen at the Commission.
JOB TITLE: REGIONAL OFFICER X2
GRADE: C3
REPORTS TO: REGIONAL MANAGER
STATION: MUTARE AND MASVINGO
Duties and Responsibilities
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Initiation of media development activities in the region.
• Facilitate the engagement of media stakeholders.
• Initiate training and capacity-building opportunities for media outlets within the region.
• Facilitate the registration of media houses and the accreditation of applications.
• Receive complaints.
• Initiate budget processes for the region.
Qualifications and Experience
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES:
• A degree or HND in Media Studies or any other relevant qualification.
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
• Excellent analytical skills coupled with good computer skills.
• Ability to converse in local languages.
• Should have ability to organize events and exhibitions.
• At least two years’ experience in a similar field would be an added advantage.
