Job Description
We are looking for an experienced refrigeration technician to join our organization. The refrigeration technician will be responsible for processing and completing work orders, installing new air conditioning systems for offices as well as vehicles, troubleshooting mechanical failures, and performing equipment maintenance. They may also be required to advise on equipment upgrades and alternate cooling units.
Duties and Responsibilities
Installing, troubleshooting and overhauling air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
Measuring refrigeration or air conditioning components for installation.
Working with hand and power tools to install air conditioning components.
Testing air conditioning and refrigeration systems for leaks.
Performing routine maintenance.
Repairing and replacing components for entire air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
Installing, maintaining and repairing equipment in offices as well as vehicles.
Preparing work estimates.
Reading and interpreting blueprints.
Qualifications and Experience
Refrigeration and air conditioning Class One Journeyman Card
Refrigeration and Air conditioning Certificate
Gas handling and use Certificate is an added advantage
At least 3 years working experience
Good communication and interpersonal skills
