Job Description
The Union Zimbabwe Trust is seeking a highly skilled Radiographer to join our team following a recent award from the UNOPS, FC-SDS Project.
The duration of the contract is 3 months, with extension subject to availability of funds.
Duties and Responsibilities
Mobile X-ray Operations: Operate and maintain the ultra-portable X-ray machine in community and facility settings.
Image Acquisition: Acquire high-quality X-ray images for TB screening and other respiratory conditions.
Quality Assurance: Ensure the proper functioning and calibration of the X-ray machine to maintain image quality.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols related to X-ray equipment and patient radiation exposure.
Registration of X-ray machine: Credentials may be requested to register with RPAZ
Qualifications and Experience
Certified Radiography Qualification or related field.
X-ray Equipment Experience: Proven experience operating and maintaining X-ray machines, including portable units. Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions an advantage.
Work Experience: At least 3 years experience working within the Ministry of Health or a similar public health organization.
Safety Training: Completion of safety training on X-ray equipment and radiation protection.
Advantage: Ability to drive a manual vehicle is an advantage
