Job Purpose
We seek an exceptional and strategic leader to fill the role of Principal Officer. As the chief administrator of the Fund,
you will provide strategic leadership, oversee investments, finance, human resources, and formulate organizational
strategy, ensuring the Fund's overall success and sustainability.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Develop, implement, and review the Fund's overall strategy, ensuring alignment with
its vision, mission, and objectives.
• Investment Management: Oversee the Fund's investment portfolio, ensuring optimal returns, risk
management, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Financial Management: Direct the Fund's financial planning, budgeting, and reporting, ensuring transparency,
accountability, and fiscal responsibility.
• Property Portfolio Management: Develops and implements comprehensive property management policies,
to optimize portfolio performance through strategic lease negotiation, rental management, property
acquisition, development, and maintenance.
• Human Capital Management: Lead the development and implementation of human resources strategies,
policies, and programs, fostering a high-performing and inclusive work culture.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Foster and maintain strong relationships with participating employers, members,
regulators, and other stakeholders, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and issue resolution.
• Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks to the Fund, ensuring compliance with regulatory
requirements and industry best practices.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the Fund's compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry
standards, providing expert advice and guidance to the Board and management.
• Operational Efficiency: Oversee the development and implementation of operational strategies, policies, and
procedures, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources.
• Governance: Provide strategic guidance and support to the Board, ensuring effective governance, decision-
making, and oversight.

Qualifications and Experience

• Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Outstanding project management planning and execution
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage vendors and contractors in line with approved projects deadlines.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and financial management skills.
• Understanding of relevant Zimbabwean pensions legislation.
• Be conversant with strategic management and change at senior level.
• In depth knowledge and experience in administering both Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution
pension schemes.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management, Finance, Accounting or related qualification.
• (MBA) or equivalent qualification will be an added advantage.
• At least 10 years' experience in senior/executive management roles, preferably within the
insurance/pensions industry.
• In-depth knowledge of pension schemes, relevant legislation, and strategic management.
