Job Description
A Polywoven Bags Manual sewer is a professional in the textiles industry who uses a manual sewing machine to sew final products according to quality standards and production schedules. Your attention to detail, precision and commitment to quality will be essential in ensuring the integrity of our products.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Deciding on appropriate sewing techniques before work commences.
• Getting orders from the supervisor to determine each job's requirements.
• Selecting suitable thread and placing this onto the spool spin.
• Check for rejects in the products.
• Ability to start machine that stitches bags.
• Examines sewn tape for loose cords or dropped stitching.
• Adjusts cord tensions and guide positions
• Detecting faults with the sewing machine as they occur.
• Inspect finished products for defects, irregularities, or inconsistencies in stitching, and quality.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and
compliance with machine safety guidelines.
• Meet productivity targets and production quotas while upholding quality standards and minimizing waste or rejects.
• Follow work instructions, production schedules, and quality control procedures to ensure timely completion of
orders and customer satisfaction.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed to meet production deadlines.
• Execute standard work practice with 1st time right quality standard.
• Undertake any departmental task deemed reasonable by management.
• Contribute to maintaining the health, safety and security of the working environment and carry out all activities and
operations safely and without risk to health.
Qualifications and Experience
• 1 years+ related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Flexibility to work different shifts, including nights and weekends, depending on production schedules.
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality finished goods with no errors.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple print jobs simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically to resolve issues that may arise during the process.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and effectively convey instructions and information.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and the ability to follow them diligently to prevent accidents and injuries
• Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions,
