To support the maintenance, repair, and continuous operation of mechanical equipment and machinery within the plastic manufacturing plant, ensuring minimal downtime and adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Assist in installation, maintenance, and repair of production machinery and equipment
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on mechanical systems
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical faults to reduce production downtime
• Support fitting, machining, and fabrication of components as required
• Maintain maintenance records and report recurring faults
• Ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored
• Comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times
• Work closely with electrical and production teams to ensure smooth operations
• National Certificate/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Fitting & Turning, or related field
• Apprenticeship or proven background as a Fitter & Turner
• At least 2–3 years’ experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment (plastic manufacturing an advantage)
• Basic understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics
• Strong mechanical fault-finding skills
• Knowledge of workplace safety standards
