Job Description

VACANCY NOTICE: MARKETING AND PUBLIC RELATIONS ASSISTANT
The Allied Health Practitioners Council of Zimbabwe invites applications from suitably qualified and motivated candidates for the position of Marketing and Public Relations Assistant.

Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Assisting in Marketing and Brand Management.
Assist in the development and implementation of marketing strategies and campaigns
Promote the Council’s brand visibility and public image
Support the development of marketing materials, brochures, newsletters, and promotional content
2. Social Media Management and Content Creation
Develop, schedule, and manage engaging content across all social media platforms
Monitor social media engagement, trends, and analytics
Respond to online inquiries and maintain consistent brand messaging
3. Public Relations and Stakeholder Engagement
Support public relations activities and media liaison
Support stakeholder communications and engagement initiatives
Assist in drafting press releases and official communications
Awareness Campaigns
Plan and support implementation of awareness campaigns aligned with the Council’s mandate
Collaborate with internal departments to promote regulatory compliance and public education
4. Events Coordination
Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing events, workshops, and stakeholder meetings
Support logistical arrangements and post-event reporting

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or equivalent qualification
At least two (2) years’ post-graduation work experience in marketing, communications, or public relations.
Clean class 4 drivers licence.

Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent content creation and copywriting ability
Proficiency in social media management tools and basic graphic design
Creative thinking and marketing innovation
Good organisational and project coordination skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills
Analytical skills with the ability to interpret engagement metrics
