Job Description
Allied Timbers Zimbabwe (Pvt) Ltd, a leading forestry and timber products company, invites applications from suitably qualified, experienced, and results-driven professionals for the position of Legal and Compliance Administrator.
Position Summary
To promote effective governance and regulatory compliance while ensuring data protection compliance across Allied Timbers Zimbabwe (Pvt) Ltd.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Draft legal documents, correspondence, and reports for approval by the Legal Officer.
• Manage contract registers, renewal trackers, and approval workflows.
• Prepare document bundles for external counsel and hearings.
• Conduct legal research on statutory, regulatory, and case law developments relevant to ATZ's operations and prepare research briefs for review and approval by the Legal Officer.
• Control the data subject access request process and POTRAZ obligations.
• Maintain legal filing systems and document registers, and track governance and litigation timelines.
• Manage the data protection register and provide initial responses to routine data subject queries.
• Prioritise compliance deadlines and escalate at-risk items to the Legal Officer
Qualifications and Experience
• Diploma or Degree in Law, Legal Studies, Corporate Governance, or Administration.
• 2–3 years’ experience in legal administration, compliance, or a governance
environment.
Skills and Knowledge.
• Ability to draft structured documents under supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and confidentiality.
• Understanding of corporate governance and compliance principles.
• Ability to manage sensitive legal and personal data.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management systems.
