Job Description

The University seeks to recruit applicants with requisite qualifications, skills and experience for the following post in the Faculty of Applied Science: -
Department of Statistics and Operations Research

Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to teach modules on Big Data and Data Mining, Financial
Analytics, Machine Learning and Expert Systems in Business Analytics at undergraduate level as well as teach Computational Statistics and Simulation Modelling at Postgraduate level.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must be holders of a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in any of the following fields: -
Operations Research and Statistics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics or Mathematics or Computer
Science and be in possession of a Master of Science Degree in at least one of the following: Big Data Science, Data Analytics and/or Mathematical Sciences (with significant machine learning content).
Holders of a PhD Degree in any of the above disciplines will be given preference.
