SCHOOL OF NATURAL SCIENCES
MATHEMATICS AND COMPUTER SCIENCES DEPARTMENT (1 POST)
COMPUTER SCIENCE (1 POST)
Applicants must hold a doctoral degree in Computer Science, a Masters degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Computer Science and must be able to teach at least four of the following modules: Mobile Application Development, Digital Electronics, Microprocessors, Compiler Design and Natural Language Processing. Applicants who can show some progress towards acquiring a relevant doctoral degree may be considered. Teaching experience at tertiary or University level and possession of a Postgraduate Diploma in Higher and Tertiary Education will be an added advantage. Successful applicants without a Postgraduate Diploma in Higher and Tertiary Education will be required to obtain the same within the first three (3) years of appointment.
MUNHUMUTAPA SCHOOL OF COMMERCE
SCHOOL OF HOSPITALITY, TOURISM AND CULTURE (1 POST)
FOREIGN LANGUAGES (1 POST)
Applicants must hold a Masters degree in French or equivalent, a Bachelors degree in French or equivalent, proof of proficiency such as an HSK certificate and must be able to teach at least two of the following modules: French I, French II, Chinese I and Chinese II. Possession of a relevant doctoral degree and proficiency in two other foreign languages are added advantages.
Successful applicants without a Postgraduate Diploma in Higher and Tertiary Education will be required to obtain the same within the first three (3) years of appointment.
BERNARD CHIDZERO GRADUATE SCHOOL OF BUSINESS (1 POST)
Applicants must hold a doctoral degree in Banking and Finance/Business Management/Accounting/Economics, a Masters degree in Banking and Finance/Business Management/Accounting/Economics and a Bachelor of Commerce Honours degree in Banking and Finance/Business Management/Accounting/Economics and must be able to teach at least two of the following modules: Commercial Law, Operations Management, Project Management, Monitoring and Evaluation. Applicants who can show some progress towards acquiring a relevant doctoral degree may be considered. Teaching experience at tertiary or University level and possession of a Postgraduate Diploma in Higher and Tertiary Education will be an added advantage. Successful applicants without a Postgraduate Diploma in Higher and Tertiary Education will be required to obtain the same within the first three (3) years of appointment.
JULIUS NYERERE SCHOOL OF SOCIAL SCIENCES
PSYCHOLOGY DEPARTMENT
COUNSELLING PSYCHOLOGY (1 POST)
Applicants must hold a doctoral degree in Psychology, a Masters degree in Psychology and a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Psychology and must be able to teach the following modules: Cognition, Industrial Psychology, Introduction to Psychology, Comparative Psychology and Psychometrics. Applicants who can show some progress towards acquiring a relevant doctoral degree may be considered. Applicants must be registered with the Allied Health Practitioners Council of Zimbabwe. Teaching experience at tertiary or University level and possession of a Postgraduate Diploma in Higher and Tertiary Education will be an added advantage. Successful applicants without a Postgraduate Diploma in Higher and Tertiary Education will be required to obtain the same within the first three (3) years of appointment.
HERBERT CHITEPO LAW SCHOOL (1 POST)
Applicants must hold at least a Bachelor of Laws degree (obtained from a Roman Dutch Law jurisdiction) and a Masters’ degree in Law. A doctoral degree or significant progress towards the degree will be an added advantage. He/she must be able to teach at least three of the following modules: Law and Economic Development, Law of Contract, Commercial Law, Jurisprudence, Law of Delict, Accounting for Legal Practice, Law of Succession and
Administration of Estates, Insurance Law, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Banking Law and Payment Systems, Conveyancing and Notarial Practice. Teaching experience at tertiary or University level or possession of a Postgraduate Diploma in Higher and Tertiary Education will be an added advantage. Successful applicants without a Postgraduate Diploma in Higher and Tertiary Education will be required to obtain the same within the first three (3) years of appointment.
SIMON MUZENDA SCHOOL OF ARTS, CULTURE AND HERITAGE STUDIES
HISTORY, ARCHAEOLOGY AND DEVELOPMENT STUDIES DEPARTMENT
HISTORY (1 POST)
Applicants must hold a doctoral degree in History, a Masters degree in History, a Bachelor of History and must be able to teach at least four of the following modules: History of Africa since 1884, International Relations since 1945, Pedagogic Studies in History, History of Zimbabwe since 1890, Modern Europe 1789-1945, Women in African History, Southern Africa since 1870. Applicants who can show some progress towards acquiring a relevant doctoral degree may be considered. Teaching experience at tertiary or University level and possession of a Postgraduate Diploma in Higher and Tertiary Education will be an added advantage. Successful applicants without a Postgraduate Diploma in Higher and Tertiary Education will be required to obtain the same within the first three (3) years of appointment.
