LECTURER/SENIOR LECTURER/ASSOCIATE PROFFESSOR/PROFFESSOR – SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION ENGINEERING (1 Post)

Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to provide academic leadership to the Department, initiate, guide and contribute to basic and applied research, innovation and industrialisation programmes in the Department as well as teach the following courses at Undergraduate and Postgraduate level: Soil and water conservation, soil mechanics, GIS, fluid mechanics, hydrology and pump technology.

In addition, the candidate will be expected to coordinate and participate in the supervision of Undergraduate and Postgraduate research students.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must at least have a Master’s Degree in Soil and Water Conservation Engineering or a closely related discipline. A Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering or a closely related discipline is a must. Applicants with an earned PhD in Soil and Water Conservation Engineering or registered PhD candidates have a distinct advantage. University teaching experience is an added advantage.
