(a) Teaching – the incumbent is expected to teach or deliver lectures in accordance to the Department and or Faculty guidelines and standards.

Music Theory, Composition And Piano Lecturer (Harare Campus)
Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor/Professor (1 Post)
Duties and Responsibilities
• Preparing and delivering lectures, tutorials, workshops, and seminars. • Developing curricula and course material that can be used across a number of platforms. • Collaborating with other academics and lecturers to improve teaching methods and expand knowledge base. • Setting and grading assignments, tests, and exams. • Conducting research, and writing papers, proposals, journal articles, and books. • Attending and participating in meetings, conferences, and other events in and outside of the institution. • Participating in training opportunities and initiatives at the institution. • Providing support to students and other colleagues. • Staying current by reading widely and producing published work in the field.
The candidate should have at least a relevant master’s degree in music from a recognized university, a PhD will be an added advantage.
The prospective candidate should possess:
• Music Theory and Composition with a thrust in Harmony and counterpoint, Post tonal music theories
• Jazz composition, Soundtrack and film music composition and ability to Use compositional software such as Musescore, Sibelius and any other relevant software.
• The incumbent must have proficiency in Piano playing and performance practice.
