Forest Resources Management Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor/Professor (1 Post)
Duties and Responsibilities
• Teaching at under-graduate and post-graduate level on Tropical Dendrology and Botany, Forest Entomology, Forest Silviculture, Fire Ecology, Applied Forest Ecology, Agroforestry and Environmental Impact Assessment
• Supervising under-graduate and post-graduate research projects
• Participating in outreach programmes related to Forest Resources Management
• Resource mobilisation for research
• Participating in forestry innovation and industrialisation
Ideally the successful candidate should possess a Bachelor of Science Honours in Forest Resources Management with a 2.1 degree class or better, or a related field with considerable teaching and research experience in Forest Resources Management and a proven record of publications in refereed scientific journals. A Master of Science in Forest Resources Management/Conservation. A PhD in Forest Resources Management/Conservation is an added advantage.
