Job Description

FACULTY OF ENGINEERING AND THE BUILT ENVIRONMENT

Department of Automotive and Aeronautical Engineering

Aircraft Structures and Materials (1 Post)

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities
• To teach courses in Design, Development, Analysis and Sizing of Aircraft Structural Configurations.
• To initiate and conduct relevant approved research in their areas of specialisation and related subjects in line with Education 5.0
• To participate fully in the Department and University Extension activities (Advisory and Consultancy work)

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications, Experience and Attributes
• A good first degree in Aeronautical Engineering or Equivalent and a Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• A PhD/Dphil degree in the relevant fields.
• At least two years’ work experience
• Lecturing experience in Aircraft Structures and Materials is an added advantage.
• Membership of a recognised professional Institution is an added advantage.
• A proven record of research publications.
