Job Description

We are seeking a results-oriented IT Systems Administrator to manage our company's IT infrastructure & Systems. You will be upgrading and installing hardware and software, performing troubleshooting to resolve issues, and maintain & upgrade networks, servers & applications.
To ensure success as an IT administrator, you should possess extensive experience in IT systems administration and the ability to optimize the performance of IT infrastructure. An accomplished IT systems administrator will be someone whose technical expertise results in enhanced IT system efficiency across company structures.

Duties and Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities
• Monitoring and maintaining IT networks and servers.
• Upgrading, installing and configuring new hardware and software to meet company objectives.
• Implementing security protocols and procedures to prevent potential cyber threats.
• Managing user accounts and performing systems access control.
• Performing diagnostic tests and debugging procedures to optimize IT systems.
• Documenting processes, as well as backing up and archiving production data.
• Developing data retrieval and recovery procedures.
• Designing and implementing efficient end-user feedback and error reporting systems.
• Keeping up to date with advancements and best practices in IT systems administration.
• Perform server administration tasks including user/group management, security permissions, group policies, print services; research event-log warnings and errors; and monitor resources to ensure that systems architecture components work together seamlessly.
• Monitor systems health using existing management tools, and respond to hardware & software issues as they arise; help build, test, and maintain new servers when needed.
• Maintain internal infrastructure requirements, including laptop and desktop computers, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, phones, security updates; support internet, intranet, LANs, WANs, and network segments
• Perform routine and scheduled audits of all systems, including backups.

Qualifications and Experience

Preferred skills and qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in information technology or computer science.
• Proven success in a similar IT role.
• Experience in project management, application design and integration, and cloud computing (specifically Microsoft Azure/AWS)
• Expertise in analyzing and maintaining large-scale virtualised systems & storage; creating volumes and assigning them to servers; and remote replication.
• At least three years' experience in a similar role.
• Extensive experience with IT systems, networks, and related technologies.
• Solid knowledge of best practices in IT systems administration and cyber-security.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Professional certifications:
o VMware.
o Storage Systems.
o Veeam.
o AWS.
o Microsoft 365.
o CCNA.
