Job Description

IT Graduate Trainee Programme (2 Years)

This programme accelerates your growth from graduate to competent IT professional through structured learning, hands-on work, and exposure to real production environments. You will rotate across teams, contribute to live initiatives, and complete assessed milestones.
Key Learning Areas
• Software Development: requirements analysis, system design, coding standards, testing, documentation, and release management
• Databases & Integration: SQL fundamentals, data quality, reporting, APIs and integrations
• Systems Support: user support, endpoint configurations, incident and problem management, and service desk operations
• Infrastructure Basics: Windows and Linux administration concepts, virtualization and backups, basic networking and security management.
• Professional Skills: communication, teamwork, stakeholder engagement, and continuous learning.

Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
• Support the software development lifecycle (SDLC) under guidance of senior developers and engineers.
• Develop, test, and maintain internal applications, scripts, and reports.
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving day-to-day IT incidents (hardware, software, and access issues).
• Maintain system documentation, knowledge articles, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Participate in change, release, and deployment activities following approved processes.
• Collaborate with business users to understand requirements and provide timely feedback.
• Adhere to Greenfuel’s safety, quality, and information security standards.

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Requirements
• A recent Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (completed within the last 2 years)
• Foundational programming knowledge (e.g., Python, Java, C#, JavaScript, or similar)
• Basic understanding of databases and SQL.
• Strong problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and willingness to learn
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Willingness to work at any Greenfuel site and to be on-call/after-hours support as required (during support rotations)
Added Advantage
• Exposure to Git/source control, REST APIs, and basic DevOps concepts
• Knowledge of ITIL concepts or service desk tooling
• Basic Linux administration familiarity
• Valid driver’s licence
