Mother Touch Group of Schools is seeking a dedicated and experienced History Teacher to join our Senior School in Selous. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high‑quality instruction in Cambridge and ZIMSEC History and Bible related studies, fostering critical thinking, and inspiring learners to appreciate historical and biblical knowledge and its relevance to contemporary society.
* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging History lessons aligned with Cambridge and ZIMSEC curricula.
* Develop schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessments that promote academic excellence.
* Track and analyse student performance, providing timely feedback and remedial support.
* Integrate innovative teaching methods, including digital resources, debates, and research projects.
* Promote extracurricular activities such as Model United Nations, history clubs, and cultural events.
* Uphold school values and contribute to a Christ‑centred educational environment.
* Collaborate with colleagues to support departmental goals and whole‑school initiatives.
* Bachelor’s degree in History, Education, or related field (postgraduate qualification an added advantage).
* Proven teaching experience at Senior School level (Form 1–6).
* Familiarity with Cambridge and ZIMSEC syllabi.
* Strong classroom management, communication, and mentoring skills.
* Commitment to professional growth and continuous learning.
* Strong skills in laboratory management, ICT integration, and 21st‑century teaching methods.
* Commitment to Christian values and holistic learner development.
* Teacher training diploma qualification added advantage.
