VACANCY: HEADMASTER (SECONDARY SCHOOL)
Location: Lesedi Schools, Victoria Falls
Lesedi Secondary School invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced
educational leaders for the position of a Secondary School Headmaster. The school is a fast-
growing, donor-supported rural institution committed to delivering high-quality, inclusive and
holistic education, with a strong emphasis on academic excellence and vocational skills
development.

Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
• Provide strategic leadership and overall administration of the secondary school.
• Uphold high standards of teaching, learning, discipline and pastoral care.
• Supervise teachers, ensure curriculum coverage and strengthen academic performance.
• Champion the integration and expansion of vocational education and practical skills
training.
• Lead school planning, budgeting, resource management and policy implementation.
• Promote effective teaching methodologies, innovative assessment practices and
continuous school improvement.
• Ensure full compliance with Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education regulations.
• Coordinate meaningful engagement with parents, donors, partners and the surrounding
community.
• Drive staff development, mentorship and a results-oriented performance management
system.
• Safeguard learners’ welfare and cultivate a supportive and conducive learning
environment.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications and Experience
• A minimum of a BEd in Educational Administration or equivalent.
• A Master’s degree in Education or related field is an added advantage.
• At least 7 years teaching experience, including a minimum of 3 years as Head, Deputy
Head, or in a substantive leadership role.
• Demonstrated experience in curriculum implementation, school management and rural
education contexts.
• Evidence of successful innovation, school improvement and effective team leadership.
• Experience in coordinating vocational or skills-oriented programmes is an added
advantage.

Contract
