GIS GRADUATE TRAINEE
Key Responsibilities
* Collection, processing and analysis of geospatial data using GIS software.
* Digitising and geo-referencing spatial data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
* Supporting the creation and maintenance of GIS databases while ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
* Creating maps and other graphical representations of geographic data for council applications.
* Conducting quality control checks on geospatial data and resolving discrepancies.
* Contributing to the development of GIS technologies for field data collection.
* Applying relevant regulations and policies regarding land use and spatial planning.
* Managing GIS equipment and software to ensure they remain operational and up to date.
* Assisting other departments with GIS mapping and analysis needs.
Qualifications and Experience
* Relevant Degree in Geographic Information Systems, Geography or Geospatial Science.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret spatial data.
* Computer skills in ESRI, ArcGIS, QGIS or similar GIS applications.
* Familiarity with GIS devices and field data collection techniques.
* Must not be more than 25 years of age.
