Internationalisation, partnerships, and international student support
ABOUT THE UNIT
The International Relations Unit drives internationalisation, partnerships, and international student support. This role is designed for a graduate who will support these functions while also providing cross-cutting design and digital content support to the broader Office.
ROLE OVERVIEW
The International Relations Unit seeks a versatile graduate to support internationalisation, partnerships, and international student support. The successful candidate will also assist with design, digital content and the coordination of cultural events, welfare and support programmes for international students.
International Relations & Partnerships
Provide administrative and logistical support for international student programmes (orientation, welfare, exchange/study abroad)
Assist with correspondence, record-keeping, and follow-up relating to MOUs, MOAs, and partnership agreements
Help monitor and report on international partnership engagement metrics
Support liaison with embassies, international organisations, and partners
Provide general administrative support to the unit
Assist in the design and production of visual content including flyers, social media graphics, newsletters, banners, and presentation materials
Develop and manage content for digital platforms, including the website, social media channels, and email communications, covering international partnerships, and student mobility programmes
Support the coordination of events and webinars including pre- and post-event communications
DURATION
This is a fixed-term Graduate Trainee position for a period of twenty-four (24) months.
A Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations, International Business, Political Science, Information Technology, Communications, Graphic Design, Multimedia and/ or a closely related field, atleast a 2.1 Degree class
Graduated within the last two (2) years
Relevant certifications in digital content creation, graphic design, video editing, social media management, web content management, related digital communication tools or a closely related field will be an added advantage
DURATION
This is a fixed-term Graduate Trainee position for a period of twenty-four (24) months.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Working knowledge of Excel for partnership data
Proficiency in graphic design tools (Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva) or related digital communication tools will be an added advantage.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Understanding of internationalisation in higher education and mobility programmes
Strong interpersonal skills for culturally diverse stakeholders
Highly organised and adaptable
DESIRABLE ATTRIBUTES
Prior internship, attachment, or volunteer experience in international relations or international education
Knowledge of a second/foreign language
Familiarity with international student exchange or mobility programme administration
Experience in international relations, international education, university marketing, communications, or student recruitment.
An interest in higher education internationalisation and diplomacy
