Job Description

Perform financial planning, oversee financial activities and prepare financial reports for the ACC.

Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Head Finance and Admin the Finance and Administration Intern will
• Carry out budget tracking for all project components and facilitate the processing of all requisitions and returns.
• Maintenance of cash book, processing payments, financial accounts and reconciliation to ensure financial prudence and compliance to internal and external policies and procedures.
• Prepare for audits by checking of vouchers and ensuring correct coding and support documents are in place.
• Produce monthly expenditure reports to track and account for all expenditures.
• Provide efficient and accurate administrative services including organizing meetings and workshops.
• Ensure the organization’s financial resources and expenditures are fully and properly accounted for and that internal control systems are adequate and functioning.
• Process statutory returns such as tax (ZIMRA) and National Social Security Authority (NSSA).
• Produce management accounts and financial statement for internal and external reporting.
• Advise on the development of project proposal budgets and carry out preliminary checking prior to submission to donors.
• Support preparation of various budgets, events budget, institutional and annual consolidated budget for the organization.
• Advise line managers and staff on the interpretation and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
• Oversee the payroll process and procurement of goods and services and management of property and equipment.
• Perform other administrative functions as assigned

Qualifications and Experience

Successful applicants must be a recent holder of a diploma or degree in Business and Admin. Female candidates are encouraged to apply. The position requires working with minors and background checks are mandatory.
