Job Description

The contractor will serve as a part-time School Health Facilitator and will report directly to the respective HIV Prevention Officer.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Promotes HIV prevention methods and promoting male circumcision intake in schools for boys 15 years and above.
• Conducts routinized district schools mapping in allocated districts.
• Conducts systematic schools' engagement and information dissemination to segmented groups.
• Issues out of consent forms and verify them prior to VMMC service.
• Tracking and follow up on signed consent forms with relevant School Health Coordinators and parents.
• Conducts schools support in organisation of mid media activities in schools.
• Provides logistical support and effective distribution of IEC material and presence.
• Promotes male circumcision and health benefits among target audiences (15years and above)
• Coordinates demand creation activities to match Ministry of Health and Childcare services delivery model in the respective districts.
• Conducts small group discussions/One on one IPC sessions at community level during school holidays.
• Identifies and recommending IPC agents to the HIV Prevention Officer (HPO)
• Works closely with the supervisor and other stakeholders towards achieving PSH’s goals.
• Any other duties that may be assigned by the HIV Prevention Officer.

Qualifications and Experience

• At least 5 O’levels subjects including English.
• Good communications skills
• Fluent in English and Shona.
