Job Description

The Harare Institute of Public Health (HIPH) invites applications from suitably qualified, experienced and highly motivated individuals for the position of Diploma Lecturer – Chemistry and Biological Sciences.

Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
• Teach Chemistry and Biological Sciences modules at NC level in accordance with the HEXCO curriculum.
• Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials and assessments.
• Deliver lectures, tutorials, laboratory practicals and student consultations.
• Assess students and supervise research projects, laboratory reports and industrial attachment reports.
• Maintain academic records and laboratory resources.
• Enforce laboratory health, safety, environmental and quality assurance standards. • Participate in curriculum development, examinations, quality assurance and departmental activities.

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's in Chemistry, Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Applied Biology or a related field.
• A Master's Degree and a recognised teaching qualification will be added advantages.
• At least two years' tertiary teaching experience will be an added advantage.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and e-learning platforms.
