Job Description
Kutama College (St. Francis Xavier College) is a private Catholic independent boy’s and
girl’s boarding school in the Zvimba area, Diocese of Chinhoyi. The school was founded in
1914 and built on strong Catholic ethos of holistic human formation. St Francis Xavier’s
College Kutama is a centre of excellence. Kutama College was ranked 26th out of the top
100 best high schools in Africa by Africa Almanac in 2017, based on quality of education,
student engagement, strength and activities of alumni, school profile, internet and news
visibility.

Qualifications and Experience
Profile and Educational Qualifications
Should be serving as a substantive deputy head currently
Passionate about holistic formation of young people
Strict adherence and observance of Child safeguarding tenets
Demonstrable leadership qualities and ability to nurture and sustain winning teams
Must be computer literate
Experience in managing Cambridge syllabus is an added advantage
Clean class 4 driver’s license
Diploma/certificate in Education
Degree in Educational Administration
Master’s degree in Education
Doctorate is an added advantage
Five years’ experience as a substantive head
Be in sympathy with the Catholic ethos and traditions.
