Job Description
Naz Freight Services is seeking for 3 motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our operations team as a Customs Clearing Clerk. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate looking to build or advance a career in freight and logistics. Candidates with or without prior customs clearing experience are encouraged to apply.
Position : Customs Clearing Clerk
Duty Stations
Mutare | Chivhu | Beit Bridge
Start Date: Immediate
Training: Two (2) weeks of structured on-the-job training provided
Maximum Age: 25 years
Duties and Responsibilities
KEY DUTIES WILL INCLUDE
• Processing import and export customs entries in accordance with ZIMRA regulations
• Liaising with customs authorities, clearing agents, and clients on behalf of the company
• Maintaining accurate records of all clearance documentation and correspondence
• Ensuring compliance with applicable customs laws, tariff codes, and freight procedures
Qualifications and Experience
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Diploma in Customs and Legislation Procedures is a must
• A minimum of five (5) O-Level passes, including English Language and either Mathematics or Accounts
• Valid driver’s licence is a must
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
• Computer literate
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict customs declaration deadlines
• Honest, trustworthy character with a high standard of professional ethics and integrity
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple consignments simultaneously
• Willingness to learn and adapt within a dynamic freight and logistics environment
• Team player with a proactive attitude and strong work ethic
