Job Description

Who We Are?
With over 20 years of experience, PSI/Zimbabwe now registered as Population Solutions for Health is looking for candidates who hold the requisite qualifications and experience to apply for the positions below.

Job exists to lead on the development/updating and implementation of a robust and reliable monitoring and evaluation systems for the Covid-19 Response project and support M&E activities for other PSH projects as requested. Specific functions of this position will entail development and rolling out M&E tools, SOPs and Frameworks for the Covid-19 Response project, M&E capacity strengthening of individuals responsible for collection, capturing, cleaning, analysis, interpretation, and reporting of project data.

Duties and Responsibilities

Your Contribution – Key Responsibilities;
• Leads on the development of Covid-19 Response MEL Plan, Data Quality Assurance SOPs, and data collection and reporting tools guided by the Covid-19 MER Guidance and MOHCC Covid-19 M&E Framework.
• Leads on the deployment of MEL Plan, Data Quality Assurance SOPs, and M&E data collection and reporting tools.
• Works with the IS team to develop and deploy electronic M and E solutions for the project.
• Support the development and deployment of project D2As.
• Ensures consistent and accurate utilisation of data collection & reporting tools, Data Quality Assurance SOPs, and D2As by Covid-19 Response Project staff.
• Guided by D2As, supports weekly basis data analysis, interpretations and sharing with project staff to improve programming and ensure implementation fidelity.
• Leads on generation of internal, MOHCC and USAID M&E monthly, quarterly, and annual project reports; ensures that data is uploaded onto the relevant electronic reporting platforms on time.
• Actively participates in documentation and dissemination of best practices and lessons learnt generated from project implementation.
• Supports mapping and reporting of active and potential COVID-19 hot spots.
• Supports reporting for other PSH projects as necessary.
• Supervises data capturing to ensure timely and accurate data entry into the electronic data management system.
• Ensures that all electronic data is uploaded on the electronic project database routinely and provides weekly updates on data entry or synchronization status.
• Conducts week data quality checks in the database to ensure completeness, consistency, and accuracy
• Leads on routine data quality assessments for the Covid-19 Response project.
• Ensures timely implementation of data quality assessments and verification agreed action points.
• Support RDQAs for other PSH activities.
• Identifies training needs and gaps on the use and implementation of all data capturing tools, SOPs, job aides and come up with tailor made in-house trainings to capacitate cadres involved.
• Leads on needs-based M&E capacity building to project staff

Qualifications and Experience

What Are We Looking For?
• Degree in Demography, public health, Statistics/Mathematics, Biostatistics, MIS, or any other relevant field.
• A Master’s degree in the relevant field is a distinct advantage
• An M & E qualification from a recognized institution is an added advantage.
• At least 3 years’ experience in programs data collection, capturing, analysis and reporting
• Familiarity with electronic data management system especially Demographic Health Information System (DHIS2) is an added advantage
• Familiarity with mobile health applications is a unique advantage
• Clean class 4 driver`s license, at least two years.
