Position: COSTING CLERK

Deadline: 20 March 2025

Duties and Responsibilities

The incumbent will have the following key responsibilities;

• Preparation of Actual Landed Cost for imports and local purchases.
• Maintain and update cost databases with accurate and relevant information to support pricing.
• Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all costing activities
• Prepare detailed cost reports and analyses to support decision-making.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness in cost reporting.
• Ensure adherence to relevant accounting standards and internal policies.
• Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Work closely with other departments (e.g. production, finance) to gather relevant cost information.
• Provide support in cost-related queries and analyses.

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience, preferably in the retail industry.
• Degree in Accounting or the equivalent.
• Must be inventive and resourceful.
• Strong presentation skills and relationship building skills.
