Zimasco (Pvt) Limited, a major player in Zimbabwe’s Ferrochrome sector, has an exciting
and challenging career opportunity within its Shurugwi & South Dyke Mining Division.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified, competent and experienced individuals
to fill the vacant posts of Cost Accountant on a 3 years Fixed-Term employment
contract basis, renewable subject to performance.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Preparation and management of the Annual Operational Budget
Production of Monthly Management Accounts
Management of Plant General Works Contracts
Preparation of monthly cost of production report
Preparation of monthly Divisional and Departmental Cost Report
Receiving of raw materials into the system (Concentrates, Chrome Ores, Gold)
Asset Capitalisation and maintenance of the Assets Register
Accounting for costs of raw materials, production, capital expenditure and equipment
usage
SHE Management within the Costing section.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
A first Degree in Accounting or equivalent from a reputable tertiary institution
A holder of professional accounting qualifications like CA, CIMA and ACCA
A minimum of five (5) years post qualification experience, three of which should have
been at an Accountant level in a Manufacturing or Mining Environment
Working knowledge of IFRS and International Accounting Standards (IAS) a must
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suit and an ERP system, preferably SAP
(Financial Accounting Module) will be an added advantage
Working knowledge of safety management systems, with exposure to the NOSA SHE
System being an added advantage.
Strong people management skills and team player
Ability to communicate at all levels both verbally and written.
Clean Class 4 Driver’s Licence.
