Job Description
A leading manufacturing company, is seeking a reliable, safety-conscious, and experienced Class 2 Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods to customers and other designated locations while ensuring compliance with road safety regulations and company policies.
Duties and Responsibilities
Safely operate 5–10 tonne delivery trucks for local and regional deliveries.
Load, transport, and offload goods while ensuring products are handled with care.
Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any mechanical faults or maintenance requirements.
Ensure all delivery documentation is accurately completed and signed.
Maintain the cleanliness and roadworthiness of the assigned vehicle.
Comply with all road traffic regulations, company policies, and health and safety standards.
Verify deliveries against invoices and delivery notes.
Assist with loading and unloading where required.
Report accidents, incidents, or delays promptly.
Perform any other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications and Experience
A valid Zimbabwe Class 2 Driver's Licence.
A clean driving record with no serious traffic offences.
At least 3 years' experience driving 5–10 tonne delivery trucks, preferably within a manufacturing, FMCG, or distribution environment.
Valid Defensive Driving Certificate.
Valid Medical Certificate of Fitness.
Good knowledge of Zimbabwe's road network and traffic regulations.
Ability to complete delivery documentation accurately.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Honest, dependable, and able to work under pressure.
