Job Description
We are seeking a confident, self-motivated, and well-groomed Chemistry Teacher to join our team at Mother Touch Group of Schools. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Cambridge examination classes and consistently producing excellent results.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Establish clear objectives for lessons, units, and projects
- Adapt teaching methods to meet students' varying needs and interests
- Observe and evaluate students' performance, behavior, and development
- Plan and conduct activities for a balanced program of instruction
- Collaborate with other teachers and administrators in program development
- Prepare reports on students and activities as required
- Plan and supervise class projects, field trips, and experiential activities
- Prepare materials and classrooms for class activities
- Instruct through teaching, discussions, and demonstrations in one or more subjects
- Use computers, audio-visual aids, and other equipment and materials to supplement presentations
- Instruct and monitor students in the use of equipment and materials to prevent injuries and damage
Qualifications and Experience
- Relevant degree in Chemistry or related field
- Diploma in Education an added advantage
- Experience teaching Cambridge curriculum
- Appreciation of 21st-century learning methods
- Good teaching skills and abilities
- Passion for extra-curricular activities like sports and clubs
- Ability to teach another science subject an added advantage
- Private school experience preferred
- Critical thinking
