Duties and Responsibilities
Trainee in the following
Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and measurements to plan layouts.
• Weld and fabricate small and large furniture components with tube pipes and iron sheets from 0.7mm upwards according to measurement and angles.
• Use specialized machinery for industrial welding and oversee machines that perform the same job.
• Monitor machinery for appropriate usage, temperature, and service.
• Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions known in the furniture sector.
• Excellent communication skills and reporting skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to use various welding techniques, including TIG, MIG, arc, and welding
• Knowledge of manual and mechanical welding techniques
• Knowledge and ability to safely use the various workshop machines and tools.
• Must be able to bend round and square tubes to the correct measurement and angle
Qualifications and Experience
'O' levels including English, Maths and Science
'A' levels will be an added advantage.
