Job Description
To support the Civils department through executing all the architectural duties and responsibilities as outlined.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Preparing both rough sketches and detailed work with CADD systems.
- Performing calculations for materials and weight limitations.
- Communicating with architects and engineers, and incorporating knowledge gained into drawings.
- Drafter responsibilities include gathering drawings and specifications, calculating material and equipment requirements and setting up production methods.
- Planning and designing, and/or facilitating the execution of new building design or expansions or renovations according to the client's needs, and desires.
- Researching, programming, planning, designing and administering building projects for clients, applying knowledge of architectural design, construction detailing, construction procedures, zoning and building codes, and building materials and systems.
- Producing conceptual plans, renderings and documents.
Qualifications and Experience
- A degree in Architecture.
- Proficient in drawing software e.g. auto-cad
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the field.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Attentive to detail.
