Job Description
Underground Section Engineer who will be reporting to the Underground Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Ensuring adherence to statutory regulations • Planning and ensuring that Preventative Maintenance is carried out. • Attending to engineering problems and engaging sub-contractors, suppliers and other stakeholders when necessary. • Ensuring that equipment performs consistently in specified operating environments. • Managing projects • Handling disciplinary cases and attending to grievances of workers in the section. • Achieving machine availability targets. • Preparing training programs for trainees and training subordinates. • Drafting the budget • Enforcing compliance with statutory regulations • Promoting safe working practices • Any other duties in line with the Section Engineer's position
Qualifications and Experience
• Degree in Mechanical engineering • Membership to Engineering Professional body • Valid First aid certificate • Computer literacy (MS Office, MS Project and application Packages like SAP) is essential amongst others. • Should have sound knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001
