Job Description

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following positions which have arisen in Human Resources and Administration Section of the Women’s University in Africa:

Library - Sub–Librarian

Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities

Shelf – reading – keeping the books in their classification order
Shelving – putting the books back on the shelf regularly
Repairs and cleaning – to repair and clean library books whenever possible
Accessioning of library acquisitions – to enter into the accession register all new library material
Processing of new books
Answer basic enquiries – to answer all enquiries promptly and accurately
Assisting with maintenance and the general tidiness of the library
Membership procedures – assist with the processing of the library membership for WUA students.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications, Experience and Key Attributes

A degree in Library Information Sciences
A diploma/Higher National diploma in Library & Information Sciences is an added advantage.
At least 3 years experience in a similar capacity
