Duties and Responsibilities

Job Description
This role will be Zimbabwe (Harare) based. As a Senior Project Manager you will primarily be responsible for end to end project delivery of a specific project for an international client. You will act as the key, day to day client interface, ensuring that client objectives are met and that projects are delivered to time and cost targets and the appropriate quality standards and in accordance with the strict governance parameters

Key Requirements:

Drive and manage end to end project delivery of the project, including:

Collaborate with the overall cross-functional project team including the owners representatives, the consultants, contractors and suppliers
Help to establish the overall success criteria for the project, including time, cost, technical and performance parameters
Project planning, including advising the production of the detailed project plan
Advise upon the procurement of resources-design and construction
Monitor and apply performance management techniques, including the use of KPI’s to improve project performance
Set up and manage the change control process in strict accordance with the clients internal governance processes
Monitor and advise upon projects finances/budgets in collaboration with the cost consultants
Assist managing the flow of project information between the team and the client, through regular meetings and written communications
Ensure the production of accurate formal projects progress and other reports in accordance with the clients requirements
Manage and monitor design team, consultants, contractors and suppliers in accordance with commission scope and their signed contracts
Develop appropriate contractor interface and communication protocols

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Requirements:

You must have at least Bachelor’s degree in Built Environment, Construction Management or other relevant discipline
Minimum of 15 years proven experience in a similar role in project management and must have been worked on 5 star quality building projects
Excellent report writing kills
Must be strong in compliance with governance and procedural requirements
Must preferably be registered with a professional body as Professional Project Manager

Qualifications
