The PHP Developer will be involved in design, development, coding, customization, configuration, testing, and deployment in support of enterprise packaged solutions. The required incumbent should match the following responsibilities;
Duties and Responsibilities
● Build efficient, testable, and reusable PHP modules
● Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges
● Integration of data storage solutions
● Strong knowledge of PHP web framework Laravel
● Understanding the fully synchronous behavior of PHP
● Understanding of MVC design patterns
● Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
● Knowledge of object oriented PHP programming
● Understanding accessibility and security compliance
● Strong knowledge of the common PHP or web server exploits and their solutions
● Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
● User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and
environments
● Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system
● Familiarity with limitations of PHP as a platform and its workarounds
● Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
● Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases and their declarative query languages
● Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
● Write clean, scalable code using PHP
● Remain up to date with the terminology, concepts and best practices for coding mobile
friendly web apps
● Develop technical interfaces, specifications, and architecture
● Use and adapt existing web applications for apps
● Create and test software prototypes
● Develop client displays and user interfaces
● Assist software personnel in handling project related work and other requirements
● Coordinate with other software professionals and developers
● Daily standups and workflow management
Qualifications and Experience
● 3 years of development experience using PHP
● Bachelor’s degree in computer science is preferred
● Knowledge of HTML5/CSS3
● Strong attention to detail
● Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
● Knowledge of REST and RPC APIs
● Able to work well in a team setting
● Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle and Agile methodologies.
● Passion for technology and knowledge
