Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen in a growing FMCG concern for the position of Learning and Development Business Partner. The role entails achieving set business units targets by efficiently and effectively utilizing all material, financial and human resources through training and development of staff. The role requires an energetic and dynamic individual who has an in-depth understanding of dealing with learning and development issues in a diverse business environment. The Learning and Development Business Partner is expected to manage all aspects in learning, development, training, performance management and succession for the all the business units

Duties and Responsibilities

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 Identify and compile training and development needs for all staff in various business
units and departments and develop training and development plans and programs
 Develop an annual training calendar for all business units
 Research and develop training modules and conduct periodic training on customer
care, performance management , grooming and professional etiquette
 Develop both long term and short term talent strategies
 Develop models for evaluating the effectiveness of all training and development
interventions on key expectations and outcomes
 Develop and implement a comprehensive change management policy framework
and plans to guide all change
 Organise and facilitate staff training for technical skills.
 Monitor implementation of the training calendar and the adherence to it
 Formulate an annual training budget for all business units.
 Ensure that all training programs are in line with training plans and that all logistics
are in place such as training venue, facilitators, equipment and course material.
 Produce weekly and monthly training reports detailing out all training and
development interventions and the effectiveness of such intervention
 Assist in the setting up of the training academy and ensuring registration with
relevant government departments

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal person must possess the following:
 A University Degree in Social Sciences with 2.1 or better from a reputable university
 A Diploma In Training form IPMZ
 Exposure in human resources consultancy with a bias towards organizational
development
 At least four years’ experience in OD consultancy
 Experience in working with executives/directors providing professional, accurate
and strategic human resources advise
 Must have a strong understanding of business operations in a diverse and dynamic
environment
 Strong communication skills and ability to work independently with a high concern
for order and quality
 Confident presenter with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
