VACANCY
INSTRUMENT TECHNICIAN
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the above
position that has arisen in our Bulawayo Plant. The incumbent will be reporting to the Plant
Engineer
Duties and Responsibilities
THE JOB
The Instrument Technician will be responsible for the following:
●Providing technical instrumentation support services
●Planning and maintenance of control and instrumentation equipment as per best work
practices
●Developing planned maintenance schedule to ensure maximum efficiency of control
systems
●Conducting visual inspections of all critical control and interlock equipment in area of
responsibility
●Ensures that quality and environmental policy, objectives and targets are understood
and implemented through the production process
●Working on standby, overtime and shift when necessary
●Contributes to the overall success of the Technical Department by performing all other
duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications and Experience
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
●5 O levels including Maths and English
●Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a process control environment
●National Diploma in Instrumentation and Control
●Class One Journeyman.
●Experience in control systems, PLC and SCADA software is preferable.
●Computer literacy in Microsoft Excel, Word etc. a must.
●Must demonstrate solid organizational skills
●An honest, accurate and a person with integrity is required.
