Job Description

The new NSSA conducts its business in an honest, accountable, and transparent manner and we seek to recruit like-minded individuals in the following areas:

Ict Systems Security Manager - (Head Office): Grade 15
Reporting to the Deputy Director - CT, the successful candidate will be responsible for ICT Security, Information Assurance, Business Continuity and Critical Incident Management.

Duties and Responsibilities

Key Outputs
• Develop and maintain information security strategies, defining information security requirements and undertaking risk assessments in order to protect the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of information that is in the custody of or processed by NSSA.
• Develop, maintain, and publish all corporate-level Information security standards, procedures, and guidelines including compliance monitoring procedures and assist in resolving security policy issues and in implementing security procedures.
• Enforce security policies and procedures by administering and monitoring information security profiles, review information security violation reports and Investigate possible security exceptions, updates, maintain and document information security controls.
Initiate, facilitate, and promote activities to foster information security awareness within the organization.
In consultation with line of business, manage, review and test ICT business continuity and disaster recovery plans, processes and procedures necessary to recover services in the event of a declared disaster.
• Periodically review and validate user access rights and privileges by conducting the necessary due diligence and auditing related activities.
• Enforce required information security measures and principles in all ICT programs.
• Ensures that all ICT Security associated processes remain ISO 27001 compliant.
• Leads the review of and technical assurance of information security plans and plays an important CT governance role within the organization.
• Advise the Deputy Director - ICT on all information security and assurance matters.

Qualifications and Experience

A Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer
Science or a related field or any highly ranked ICT Certifications.
Accredited certifications in CEH, CISSP, ISO 27001 or CT Security.
A minimum of 5 years' experience in a combination of risk management information security and ICT jobs.

• Strong knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory requirements/standards. Experience in designing and managing new and existing security systems. Experience managing multiple, simultaneous, and high-profile information security initiatives and responses.
Proven track record and experience in developing information security programs, policies and procedures, including successful implementations in large enterprise environments.
• Excellent analytic skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
Excellent listening, communications, interpersonal and presentation skills.
