540Ha Farm in Beatrice looking for a farm Manager to look after field crop production and horticulture. Currently 5ha under drip irrigation with plans to expand to 75ha including green houses. Ideal candidate to be passionate, proactive, honest & integrity, have an eye for excellence and knowledgeable
Duties and Responsibilities
Experience in:
• Field, horticulture crops (including export crops) and animal fodders & pastures
• Drip Irrigation integrated with fertilization
• Commercial composting
• Commercial farming (profit mindset and costs conscious)
• Planning an essential tool and key to this role
• Human resource management skills
• Computer literacy and basic mathematics
• Knowledge of mechanization operations is an added advantage
Qualifications and Experience
a. Have Diploma or Degree in agriculture from a recognizable institution
b. Driving license essential
c. Cooperation with farm production consultants
d. Successful candidate to start as soon as possible
e. Accommodation to be provided
